A Little about our Girl, Alaina

This is from her original profile that we first saw back in April...

Female
DOB - January 20, 2003

She is docile and sensible, she can help her foster grandma with some housework,
such as selecting vegetables and shelling bean pods. She does things carefully and
earnestly, and she cares about family members and shares with them. She can express her thoughts and needs clearly and coherently. She can handle many problems with existing knowledge and experience. She has fairly independent thoughts, and strong imitating ability. She has good memory, can remember all the children's songs and poems ever taught. She loves to study, she is earnest when teaching her writing and counting, she has strong curiosity, likes to ask "why" when meeting problems. She is interested in discovering new things, she cares about changes of people and things around.

What wonderful information! I know you can barely wait to get her and start life with 4 beautiful daughters! We are hoping things move along quickly. I got your comment today and saw the question about school. Really it was no big deal because we had such GREAT teachers! They let us take work with us and turned it in when we got back. Check with Joan Randall because I think they had to actually withdraw Katie from school and then re register when they got home. Email her and see what she said. I think the girls will be fine. They HAVE to go!!!

What a blessing she is. I'll keep praying for her, not to be too shocked by her new white family and for her English. Your girls will be so good with her, I can tell! God bless, Ellen

Our school was great. We did withdraw Zach and reregister him when we got back. That made things simple- like it did not matter that we took a few days off to recouperate. Also no make up work, but he did have 1-2 tests-and a book to read. He was at the beginning of his 8th grade year and we did not have one teacher who did not understand the opportunity to experience life, culture, diversity, and family.
Take Care - she sounds lovely,
We will pray for your safe and fun trip
