Jodi, you are right in that it was 439 days since we first met our sweet little Alaina... but the reason that 439th day was itself so special is because that was the very first time that Alaina sat down beside me and said, "I love you, Mommy", gave me a kiss and went on her way... Out of no where - not responding to me saying it, not saying yes if asked... sweet day!
So, she learned to ride her bike today without the training wheels, with Lauren running along side. First in the grass (we have a slight hill in our front yard) and then in the cul-de-sac with Daddy! She is so proud of herself!
We are seeing glimpses of spring - Bradford pear tree buds, sunny days (well, occasionally), daffodils popping up. So nice....
